Memes: A Microcosm of Art History

In 2015 we were invited to lecture on Memetics, Art Theory, and Post-Internet Philosophy at Humboldt University in Berlin. It was a 4 hour lecture with a meme-making workshop included at the end.

As a little aside, I did this talk when I was only 19 years old, so please excuse my nervous stuttering. This is probably not the best introduction to our theories, it being four hours long, rather rough around the edges, and somewhat outdated to the current state of the subculture. I plan to eventually write a reflection on the subsequent changes the meme scene has experienced and what updates/revisions are necessary to the ideas laid out in this lecture.
